Java
iiziGo and iiziServer 5.0 require a 64-bit Java 25 LTS or later. The complete iiziGo setups include their own Java 25 runtime (OpenJDK from Eclipse Temurin, packaged by Eclipse JustJ).

iiziGo 5.0 is built on Eclipse 2026-09 (4.41). To add iiziGo to an existing Eclipse installation, that installation must be Eclipse 2026-09 (4.41) or later, 64-bit, running on Java 25 or later; the update site of IIZI 5 is https://support.iizi.co/downloads/builds/latest/p2/.
iiziServer
- Any 64-bit operating system with Java 25 or later, such as Linux, Windows and macOS.
- As a service: a Windows service on x64 and ARM64, or a Linux systemd service installed by
bin/install-iiziServer.sh. - Push Notifications to Browsers are offered over a secure (HTTPS) port only.
- Behind a reverse proxy, the proxy must pass WebSocket connections through.
Browsers and installed web apps
- The IIZI client streams the application over a WebSocket connection: the Browser and the network between it and the server must allow WebSocket connections.
- At connect, the server classifies the Browser's web engine. An engine that no longer receives security updates can be shown a warning naming the engine, its version and since when it is unsupported, as the application decides.
- A Browser known to be unable to run IIZI gets a page with the application's name, its description and links to its store apps instead of the application.
- Installing an application as a web app needs HTTPS. IIZI 5.0 shows no install button of its own: the user installs from the Browser's menu (see Installing a web app).
- Push Notifications on Apple Browsers need Safari 16.4 or later.

iiziRun 5.0 opens applications on IIZI 5.0 servers only (protocol version 5). Customized iiziRun apps are built with iiziGo 5 on cordova-android 15.1 and cordova-ios 8.1.
Scanning the Launch QR codes of the server's /apps page needs iiziRun Developer or iiziRun Custom 5.0.2 or later (Launch iiziRun apps from a link or a QR code).
