Known limits
- Sign-in with providers (Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Apple and generic OpenID Connect) comes in 5.1. In 5.0 an application signs its users in with IIZI's SignIn module – password, two-step verification, passkeys – and no external provider signs anyone in. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter/X are not offered.
- Installing a web app is done from the Browser's own menu; an install button inside the application comes in 5.1.
- Push Notifications in an installed web app are not claimed for 5.0: they are supported in a Browser tab and in iiziRun on Android and iOS.
- Push Notifications in iiziRun Developer and iiziRun Custom come only from Mindus's own servers. Test Push Notifications of your own application in a Browser, or in a Customized iiziRun built with your own Firebase project.
- Server clusters come in 5.1; 5.0 ships standalone servers.
- Floating panels: dim and blur, placement properties, phone presentation, the Designer's animation editor and its show-in-design-view toggle come in 5.1.
- The theme editor in iiziGo comes in 5.1; 5.0 ships the three families IIZI, Graphite and Contrast.
- PostgreSQL: the server's database scripts carry a PostgreSQL flavor, run against PostgreSQL 18 by a lab test; Derby stays the default database.
- iiziRun Developer's sample list is empty in iiziRun 5.0 builds before 5.0.2; iiziRun Developer 5.0.2 lists three samples on their own servers: BIG ACE, The Impossible Cleanup and Car Rental.
- Stopping the Windows service stops the server cleanly with the shipped service host; a service installed with the service programs of an earlier version ends the server at once, without closing its sessions and its database: install the service again.
- Windows on ARM (ARM64): HTTP/3, Zstandard compression and the Conscrypt TLS provider are not available there, because their native libraries are missing or unusable on Windows ARM64. iiziGo's web server and iiziServer use HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2, GZIP and Brotli compression, and Java's own TLS instead, and say so once in the log at start. Browsers switch to these by themselves.
- WebP images on ARM64 computers (Mac with Apple silicon, Windows on ARM, Linux ARM64): iiziGo and iiziServer cannot read WebP files there, because the WebP library has no ARM64 build. Use PNG or JPEG for app icons, PWA icons and screenshots, and the profile picture.
- The upload texts in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Swedish and Chinese are first translations, not yet reviewed by native speakers; corrections are welcome through support.iizi.co.
Known issues
- iiziGo on Windows on ARM (ARM64): on some machines the setup wizard may not reach the license server and stay on “Attempting to connect”. Choose the offline registration instead; in 5.0 every IIZI function works without a registration.
