The following are the release notes for IIZI versions in reverse chronological order.
IIZI version 4.4 is updated to the Jakarta EE 11 framework (jakarta.*) using Jetty 12.1 webserver.
Eclipse Jetty is a lightweight, highly scalable, Java-based web server and Servlet engine. Jetty's goal is to support web protocols (HTTP/1, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, WebSocket, etc.) in a high volume low latency way that provides maximum performance while retaining the ease of use and compatibility with years of Servlet development. Jetty is a modern fully asynchronous web server that has a long history as a component oriented technology, and can be easily embedded into applications while still offering a solid traditional distribution for webapp deployment.

In Java version 25 (or better) the Virtual Threads is enhanced to a new degree (without "pinning"), enabling it enhanced support of many more physical concurrent clients per Java Virtual Machine. We recommend that all customers switch to that JVM 25 or better.
Updating iiziGo to the latest version is easiest done using Eclipse -> Help -> Check for Updates.
This will check for updates of Eclipse, Java JustJ runtime and IIZI using the P2 repository along with potential libraries or Eclipse plug-in dependencies.
The minimum Java version is 21 LTS to run IIZI.
Version 4 is in a beta stage and comes for Windows (64-bit Intel and ARM64), macOS (Intel + Apple Silicon) and Linux (x86_64 and Aarch64).
As of 6th of May 2026, the IIZI version is based on Eclipse 2026 M2 (4.40), OpenJDK 21.0.11 (Eclipse Temurin - JustJ), and Jetty 12.1.9.
As of 18th of April 2026, the IIZI version is based on Eclipse 2026 M1 (4.40), OpenJDK 21.0.10 (Eclipse Temurin - JustJ), and Jetty 12.1.8.
As of 7th of April 2026, the IIZI version is based on Eclipse 2026 GA (4.39), OpenJDK 21.0.10 (Eclipse Temurin - JustJ), and Jetty 12.1.8.
